remember to bring £5 deposit for your new mug.png

TO BRING:

If you don't have all of the gear below feel free to ask the tribe via the Yestival 2025 event on Facebook. And if you're going to buy some stuff, make sure it's good! It'll serve you better, last longer and mean less energy is used compared to creating the sub-standard stuff... (now, did anyone see our soapbox? :))

To enable our Plastic Clever Policy everyone will need a £5 cash deposit for their Yestival mug - this can either be returned to you at the end of the weekend if you don't want to keep your mug, or you can keep your new super cool camping mug as a souvenir (You’ll use this mug for all drinks over the weekend - which we’ve kept low in price (no London prices here!). As an added bonus (seeing as this is the YesTribe’s 10th birthday celebration) we’ve gone big this year with a gorgeous double-walled travel mug with sippy lid, with a unique design by the wonderful Tom Napper.) It cost us £15 but it’s yours for £5 :)

Here's our recommended pack list:

General

Essential: We have a bunch of sofas and seating in the barn but not quite enough for 200 people! So if you’re able bring a chair or cushion do so! Ideally this would be light, so you can walk around with it and have your own ready-made seat for each session.

Essential: Head torch - the moon will still be big but it helps to have your own light in between venues and the camping meadow

Essential (if you love your phone/camera and/or plan to join a smartphone filmmaking workshop at Yestival) bring a power pack (we have limited options for charging phones so it’ll be safer if you bring your own - and we also sell little phone chargers in the shop in the barn)

Recommended: Notepad and pen to jot down some life-changing notes!

Optional:

  • We'd also love to create a very homely feel in the speaking areas so if you bring extra blankets, even duvets, these will also give you extra layers to keep warm and comfy, although the weather is looking very pleasant!

  • Optional: If you're keen to join yoga in the mornings, please bring a yoga mat

  • Option: If you're a Project Awesome type of early riser, bring sports gear!

Clothing

Keep an eye on the forecast for Boston, Lincolnshire and plan accordingly. Remember, it’s better to have extra layers and waterproofs just in case, than wish you brought them but didn’t. We want everyone to be comfy! It’s June and everything (we hope!) should be dry, but Yestival is an outdoorsy event so please don’t bring high heels or clothes you don’t want to get mucky.

  • Waterproofs - just in case ;)

  • WARM clothing, and this year SUMMER clothes too! Several layers as it might get chilly in the evenings

  • Leave your stilettos at home and break out your wellies! Flip flops or trainers are also great for this year. Keep an eye on the weather - if it’s been wet, the field might be soggy so wellies are recommended (WARM socks for your toes :)) and morning dewfall often leaves some moisture :)

  • Anything that you’re comfortable in. Slippers, dressing gown, duvet, dryrobes….as long as you’re happy, we’re happy. If it really pours down we’ll keep all venues, including the barn, a shoe-free zone…

Camping gear

  • WARM sleeping bag, we’d say at least a 3 season if you feel the cold. The days recently have been warm but nighttime temperatures are still on the chilly side. (we do have a few sleeping bags for sale in our shop in the Yestival barn if you need one)

  • A tent (if you have space in yours and are happy to share, why not post something on the Facebook page for those who don't have a tent)

  • Sleeping mat (the thicker it is the more insulation you have)

  • If you're coming alone don't worry, there will be a field full of people to help you to bring your stuff from your car :)

The bring if you have it list!

Any old or unwanted books to add to our adventure swap libraries - there are two this year, one on the YesBus and one of our Yestival projects is to turn a spinning summer house into a reading room!

We make firebricks out of all sorts at Big Sky, partly because we’re all about re-using materials and reducing waste, and partly because it’s fun! If you have the space and any of the below lying about you could bring:

1) Any non glossy paper, junk mail, letters, envelopes, unimportant documents ready for shredding (and heck, if you bring it already shredded, we’ll love you even more!)

2) Sawdust! This is an essential ingredient for our homemade firebricks

3) Used coffee grounds. Yep, we can turn these into firebricks too :)

4) Old newspapers

5) Tumble dryer fluff!

And last but no least, MONEY!

All meals, events, workshops and talks are included in your ticket price, we like to keep it simple.

But there will be options for extra spending!

We have a cafe with hot drinks and good COFFEEEEEE, a shop in the barn with all kinds of useful things, merch, snacks, sleeping bags, camping chairs and SayYesMore and Yestival clothing (including WARM hoodies), and many of our speakers will be bringing books and DVDs to sell.

Cash is definitely acceptable at Yestival. There are no ATMs on site, and while WE CAN accept card payments in the bar, cafe and shop, it’s always nice not to have to lose a few % of each transaction.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING:

BBQs, Stoves, Dogs, Grumpiness, Cutlery, Fireworks, Plastic Bags or bottles (yuk!), Drugs, Donald Trump/ Maga hats or your own alcohol.
