THE YESTRIBE IS FUNDRAISING FOR PARKINSON’S
In support of Em Cornthwaite, who was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease in August 2024, YesTribers are starting to take on wonderful challenges at the same time as raising funds for Parkinson’s UK, who are dedicated to support the lives of those living with Parkinson’s
Andy Bartlett ran the Reverse London Marathon and raised £2,157!
This could fund the cost to support 43 people to cope with a new Parkinson’s diagnosis, through in-depth calls and follow up support from the Parkinson’s UK skilled helpline advisers.
Around 50 people are diagnosed every day so this will be a big help.
Hannah King completed her first ever triathlon - the Deva Divas Triathlon and has so far raised £1,340!
This amount could cover the call handling technology for 2 weeks on the Parkinson's UK helpline, meaning anyone who needs help can access it AND fund a researcher for a day to prepare samples of brain tissue that can be analysed to find clues to what causes Parkinson’s.
The wonderful folk who came to Yestival in June 2025 both baked and ate a LOT of cake!
Thanks to the tribes generosity we managed to raise £801 from the Shake & Bake sale alone, which can provide tailored and expert information and support to 8 people with Parkinson‘s for 6 months, through the Parkinson‘s Local Adviser service. This has been the service that has helped Em & Dave the most so THANK YOU for funding it for another 8 people
Thanks so much if you baked something and thanks from the bottom of our hearts (and very happy tummies!) for donating and eating all the cake! Nom nom nom!
