We have closed the YesGrant for the foreseeable future, as funding has been difficult to come by in 2023. Keep popping back, and when this message doesn’t exist the grant will be open once more!
Dream it. Dare it. Fund it. Do it.
No limitations. No age limit. No idea too big or small.
If you have a passion project that you've been dreaming about but need a stepping stone to get you started; or an adventure inside you bursting to come out but money has been a barrier - then the YesGrant could be for you.
We've partnered with some kind people to offer funds and gear to help you along.
We have multiple grants which range from £50 to £500 and could be used towards an adventure, to help start a business, a charity, start a course, fund a community project or go towards a nominated person of your choice who really needs a helping hand to make some magic happen.
The only thing we ask for if you’re selected is to share your story of how the grant has helped you - a blog post, some social media, photos and permission to feature in a film, helping your story to become a ripple that will inspire and motivate others.
The first ever winners of the YesGrant, Jen, Rob and Sam (and a hidden bump!) went on a lovely cycle.

Craig won our early 2020 (pre-COVID-19) grant supported by dryrobe, and promptly took on a fairly chilly adventure in Wales!
Here are some ideas for the type of projects we love to see and hear about
Adventure
Take a map, a unique idea and go explore
Podcast
We love the simplicity of telling a story just with audio. Make our ears happy with your story
Community
People helping other people is what we’re all about.
Family
Having kids doesn’t mean the end of your adventures. In fact, maybe it’s just the beginning?
Film
Telling a story with your camera means other people can share your experience even if they weren’t there
What the grant includes
The money!
A little mentorship with someone from the SayYesMore team who can furnish you with ideas and skills to make your project even more successful.
If we can, we’ll see if we can hustle up some appropriate gear to help you out
We’ll share your ongoing social media posts on our channels, and would love to interview you afterwards for our podcast
Whether your final story is a blog, a radio show or a film, we’ll host it (or a copy of it) on our website and make sure the world hears about it.
A couple of things to consider before applying
Free money is nice - but please stop to consider if you actually need it.
Can your adventure, project or activity happen regardless, without the grant? Just pause to think why (if at all) you deserve it over someone else, and let that be reflected in your application.
This grant should NOT go towards an entry fee for an event, we want to support unique, one-off projects to highlight the power of individual thinking.
We want to ensure that the YesGrant makes a real difference and as such, applications for the grant to cover a small part of a budget are unlikely to succeed.
And finally, for the time being we're only able to award the grant to UK-based applicants completing UK-based projects. In time, we hope to make these grants international. If you apply for a project outside of the UK we may not reply, but we wish you the best of luck
How we chose who wins a grant
We work together with a panel of our partners and members of the SayYesMore team to decide the most deserving cases.
Get your application noticed with a little community spirit
Share a post about this grant tagging SayYesMore and using #yesgrant on social media and we'll know you're a nice person. We reckon nice people should have a better chance of winning stuff.
Ok, well done for getting through all of that! It’s time to apply!
