2020 SayYesMore Team Roles
We’re always looking for more people to get involved with SayYesMore and running the YesTribe, and we’re excited to be building a volunteer network where passionate people create opportunities for others.
Whatever your skills, the key attributes we’re looking for in each member of our team is a belief in what SayYesMore stands for, community spirit (ie. giving just as much as you take), a positive solutions-driven attitude (there is ALWAYS a way to do something, however hard or mad it may sound!) and honesty.
We LOVE intuition, new ideas and people who bring their own awesome to the table. There isn’t one role on Team Yes that is set in stone, it’s yours to make your own and we’ll be right there to train you up and support you, whatever role you go for.
However much you might want to be involved, please only apply if you actually have the time and energy to dedicate to our team. For all the best intentions, if we need to chase you it’s taking our energy away from the important stuff.
Ok, with all that said, let’s do this. Below are the roles within Team Yes for 2020. We’re looking for two or three people to share most of the roles, ensuring that holidays, sickness and unforeseen life-stuff doesn’t bring your role to a halt. An excellent opportunity to develop key skills, get an ace addition to that CV of yours and contribute to a great cause at the same time.

Admin King/Queen
We’re looking for slick operators who don’t let the details slip to help oversee our operations. You’ll work directly with Dave and be a part of the core management team
Team Manager
We want to make our volunteers feel loved. Sometimes it’s just being there to say hi and offer advice, sometimes it’s just remembering their birthday and giving a shout-out in the tribe for a job well done.
Design Guru
Can you spell ‘Canva’ with your eyes shut and have an eye for making things beautiful?
Event hosts
Ever thought you’d be a better host than speaker? We’re always looking for new YesStories hosts, especially in London. Generous demeanour and a good grasp of Powerpoint/Keynote needed
Marketing
If you have some marketing smarts and think you could spin some wheels with the YesTribe, let us know :)
Merchandise
We don’t really want to fill the world with more stuff, but when folks need a new tee, hoodie, hat, water bottle or something else handy why not give them a choice to wear a big yes?
YesBus
Help manage our off grid West Sussex community space and host weekends throughout the year
Photographers and Filmmakers
If you have an eye for a shot and would like to be trained up to use your camera better, and to edit stills and film, this is for you
Newsletter Editor(s)
We have a list of over 2000 people that we barely do anything with. This isn’t cool, and we’d like one or two editors to produce fortnightly newsletters with news from YesWorld. We use Mailchimp.
Website Editor(s)
Our website gets plenty of traffic but really needs to be shiny and populated with regular content. We use Squarespace.
Storytellers
As our tribe grows we’ve got more and more content which deserves to be shared to the world. This role will involve scouring our tribes and chatting with the whole YesTeam to find stories, then sharing with social media admins and our website and newsletter editors.
Kindness Chief
We’re a kind bunch at the best of times, and some defined kindness-based campaigns which gives YesTribers a nudge towards sharing their goodness around depends on having a Kind Person in Chief. Is it you?
Venue Hunter
As our events get more frequent and popular we’re always on the lookout for new free or affordable urban venues.
Podcast Central
We started a podcast a while ago and then it dropped off. It’s available on all the main channels, and we’ve got way too many stories not to have a podcast, it’s just silly :) All you need is enthusiasm and a voice like chocolate, we’ll train you even if you’ve never done anything like this before
Regional Tribe Leaders
We’re looking for community leaders in existing and new regions. If you think you’d make for an ace community head, let us know
London Leaders
Because London’s bigger than Donald Trump’s head we’re looking for leaders in the North, South, East and West, to work together on central events as well as finding venues and hosting more local events in each direction.
Social Media Angels
Across the board, we’re looking for creative folks who tell stories beautifully and spell like a dream, to bring our social media channels to life. Great chance to help grow a network, and a very cool thing to pop on your CV, especially as everyone will know about SayYesMore and the YesTribe once you’re finished :)
Group Moderators
We have themed Facebook groups that need looking after, including growing the community groups and finding relevant content. This include:
Joypots - mental health
The YesList - personal growth and productivity
The Ripple Effect - Environmental, sustainability and clean-up chat
Cycle Crew - Ideally the leaders of this group would also organise in -person cycle meet-ups
We also have our central and regional YesTribe Facebook groups that need some TLC.
Campout Leaders
With our Wake Up Wild page growing and an exciting new content partnership with Facebook in the offing, we need as many wild camp leaders as we can find :)
