Why would I want to join the SayYesMore team?
We might be biased, but we can see lots of reasons why playing a part in the YesTribe community and other SayYesMore events might be helpful to you as an individual.
Even if you’re brand new to the YesTribe, remember that absolutely everyone on this team met through this community. Only a handful have been around since the start in June 2015, and even in the last couple of months we’ve added over twenty new members to the team, so don’t worry, you’re not coming into a clique!
Giving something back always feels good, and the nature of the YesTribe is inherently positive. There’s a great feeling from stepping back during a gathering you’ve created and appreciated that all those people are there because of you.

Naturally, there are so many benefits to be gained. That old adage ‘you get out what you put in’ is totally relevant here. From figuring out how the devil Facebook actually works, to organising, hosting and developing leadership skills, we wouldn’t be sad if you saw the YesTribe as something of an apprenticeship scheme to learn and build your natural skillset.
There’s also a lot to be said for the family you’ll join. So many YesTribers have found a friendship group that begins to play a strong part in the way you spend your time, supporting your progress through life and work.
The essence of our community is to provide the supportive parrot on the shoulder, not the naysaying gremlin. Take your personal development, contact base and general confidence to the next level.
But that’s enough from us, why not let other YesTribe leaders share what they’re gained from being involved:
Team Yes has given me a sense of belonging and acceptance. The confidence to invite and meet complete strangers, spend time with them in nature and part as friends. I am a confirmed introvert and not normally very sociable, this is massive! I know whatever I do with Team Yes / Yestribe I'll have the love and support of an amazing bunch of people.

Belonging to a group of likeminded people, who are encouraging and supportive, is the best thing that has happened to me. Such a change from all the negativity in the modern world we live in.
- John Wright
Warm open no egos here, genuine heartfelt group who want the best for each other. Has changed how I think of adventure from something fit athletic youngsters do to now thinking this is me, this is my tribe. My whole mindset has changed to more of a positive can do outlook.
- Ann Whatmore
Being part of a passionate and spirited community which makes you feel like anything is possible. A place to form meaningful friendships with people who are willing to be vulnerable and open hearted, with a shared commitment to living life to it's fullest!
- Sara Owen
It has given me more confidence to do things I never thought I would have the courage to do or try, and has helped with my mental health and made me believe in myself. I love the kindness and the care that brings out the best in the Yes Tribe, they will go far out of there way to help, lend, give advice, make cake, help you out, join you for fun. It's just infectious and you cant help doing the same.
- Suzanne Coutinho
The YesTribe gives me hope to make new friends who like me feel an unbelievable need to live life to the max and embrace nature and adventure. In today's society it is very difficult to make friends if you have moved to a new area. My life has also taken a different path than the path societal norms have placed upon me. This has led to some lonely times. The YesTribe is my hope to embrace life because it is so short and precious.
- Lindsey Hopkinson
There is expertise in almost every field imaginable and everyone is always on hand to offer advice and support. (Plus I haven’t had to pay for an air B and B all year staying with tribe members... very excited that I now live somewhere I can reciprocate the favours!)
- Jen George
I’ve benefitted from being part of a virtuous circle. By putting in the time to meet positive like minded people I’ve reinvigorated a passion for the outdoors and for doing things that enrich my soul. I’m more satisfied with life and reinforced my belief in the basic goodness of people.
- Steve Hockin
I’ve benefitted from having greater confidence in myself and what I can achieve. My spirits are always lifted whenever I go along to an event or engage with someone from the YesTribe. Knowing I belong to a community that makes others’ dreams happen - by offering support and advice. Being genuinely kind, trusting and caring people.
