Josiah Skeats is an adventurer with a passion for sharing stories and lessons from his journeys off the beaten track. He has spent three years cycling around the world, sailed across the Indian Ocean and spent most of the Coronavirus Pandemic stuck on a one-kilometre Arctic island. His travels are slow and always focussed on people as he asks, How would my life look if I lived here?

His talks, shared more than seventy times, include insightful videos and beautiful photography. He delivers a powerful message that captures the wonder and diversity of our world and the lessons we can learn from it. Lessons which traverse the school curriculum and incorporate growth mindset themes such as developing resiliency, being courageous, coping with isolation and hard work paying off.

"A TED-worthy talk. One of the best assemblies we've had in years. Pupils were totally gripped and inspired by details of this extraordinary adventure." David Anderson, Headteacher, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School.

‘My daughter must have talked about it for half an hour when she got home - it was inspiring second hand! - and it filled her with a sense of options and alternatives’ - Steve, Parent
